Scholarship, why not?

Hell, I feel like I'm never gonna run away from scholarship thing until I really apply it. First of all, scholarship is the only reason I quit from my job recently. I told my boss and my office mates that I can't continue to work there and I have to apply scholarship real soon with my friends. That's fake! Haha!

The truth was that I just can't stand to work there anymore. Too many phoney. Then I met an old friend of mine, Ato. He was triggering me to apply the scholarship. He said that I can't never fit to our environment, that I need to go abroad for my own good. Make sense!

So he arranged the meeting with his friend, Reni, in by chance is a scholarship conselor for ELC English course. Oh, Reni also is Tesa's friend. so I am thinking why don't I give it a try on it? I mean seriously I know that have the qualification to take it. Just God damn it try!

My dilema due to do this is that I want to run my bag business with Mr. D. I've told him that I plan to take the scholarship and he looks like he doesn't really like the idea.  He said that I need to focus on the business. For me, it doesn't matter to try both. We'll see how it goes.

when dreams was faded, i remain silent

When I was a kid, I used to think that all the shimmering rocks in these earth was the family of stars, sun and moon above the sky. they just got trapped here on the earth. Just like what we always seen in Armageddon movie. Space's falling long long time ago. I was mesmerize, I thought even skies didn't have that much of stars. the riches star was right under my feet. I walk on the stars, I cried suddenly!

Briefly smitten by the all shimmering stars lay on the land of earth. Sometimes I was dancing because i can't control my mind. I was too happy for having those shimmering rocks. I even think that i was so big and there must be an alien watching me happily dancing to celebrating me as the god of my own fantasy.

But then i get down, my teacher telling us the truth. He said that shimmering stars are the genuine rocks got shimmering by the reflection of the lamps, sun and the moon solely. My heart is broken. I cursed the knowledge after that.

It took approximately a month to get recovered again. I  try to accept the truth and face it with gentleness. So i did. the rest of my childhood i dedicated for the obvious knowledge, arranged by the institutional education or simply a syllabus. I learned everything my teacher said, i believe to them. Besides my mama told me so, that i have to obey the teachers.

Don't expected me being a special one afterward. Particularly a god anymore. No i realized i wasn't. Otherwise i was the dwarf, so little, and powerless. Syllabus had ruined my childhood and all the fantasy beneath my heart. I was becoming introvert, so solitude and kinda comfortable with that loneliness. That state of mine stayed until now. I can fake sometimes, that easy. But it might drained my energy after that. But that's oke, i'd rather be stranger to myself than being the stranger in majority.

The rest of my life i served as a human, a citizen particularly . Committed to do what common people do, compromising to the tradition, abide to the law of the hierarchy. Though I admitted still robbing up the fantasy things just to having me back sometimes. Most of the times are save by the music. I love to get lost from this universe by the transcendental feeling.

Now I had been through so many experiences, reading, and writing. I can say that i've been through half of the knowledge and the bulshit things they teaches me. I realized that there must be a place somewhere somehow that i can be freely being totally me. Without having problem with other people. Aren't we all having different taste of music, different taste of food, different thought about the politics, and whatsoever? Can we just deal to that differentiation rather than forced it as one? Why can't we people keeping our own fantasy and creating it into something without having

Total Eclipse. A love story between Arthur Rimbaud and his boyfriend, Paul Verlaine.

In 1871 a 16 year old French poet, Arthur Rimbaud send a letter to Paul Verlaine with aims that he would help him publishing his poems book. Verlaine was very excited to invite Rimbaud to come to Paris after done reading his two poems. He also allowed Rimbaud to stay in his father in law’s house with him and his pregnant young wife.

Rimbaud was a rude, annoying, and obscene kid. So no one at that house likes him very much. Mathilda, Verlaine’s wife warning Verlaine to not easily distracted by this boy. She afraid that Rimbaud will become a dynamite someday and triggering the devastated of her family. Particularly because Verlaine drunk habit after he lost his job. Mathilda anticipation was right. Eventually Rimbaud and Verlaine relationship rose to a very intimate, even so close as a romantic relationship.

Verlaine had a vision about Rimbaud to become his soul mate. He can clearly see that this kid was different from the other kid, even to his 18 year old wife. And so did Rimbaud attract to Verlaine as well. He thought that he can fit one another to create a masterpiece of poems. Rimbaud seduces Verlaine through his intelligence, genius, and spontaneous side that he can’t get from his wife. When Matilda soon realized about this homosexuality relationship, she threaten Verlaine with asking a divorce. Alas he can’t leave Rimbaud and choose to divorce with Matilda.

Although the movie hasn't clearly depicted of Rimbaud poems itself, but overall the story is good. I found that the relationship between Rimbaud and Verlaine, though tragic was also very natural. They respected each other, and understanding about their hunger to the honest, vulgar, and obscene poems that no one would dare to write it yet at that time.

Besides that, the young Leonardo DiCaprio act was so outstanding. You might often see his roles as a playboy, a maniac, a smart guy or even a smart ass person. But in this movie is different. You are pleased to see his naked and making love with an older guy. What I presumed will mark the Total Eclipse as an important movie to watch. Otherwise of course to fulfill our curiosity about the life of the eminent prefigured surrealism poems, Arthur Rimbaud.

PS: My favorites quotes from this film is..

“Love...no such thing.

Whatever it is that binds families and married couples together, that's not love. That's stupidity or selfishness or fear. Love doesn't exist.

Self interest exists, attachment based on personal gain exists, complacency exists. But not love. Love has to be reinvented, that’s certain.”

Does it matters?

I don't have any idea if it is really good for me or whether it is not to let myself sink in this internet. really, i think that this web is such a great world that contains everything that I needed. That every web that linked to another link has something like the butterfly effects and makes me feel like I don't need to go outside to find out all the information so much better than what I've found in the internet. Which I can be more solitude and forget how to communicate with the real human. not only with the human through the internet.

Blake!

“…excuse my enthusiasm or rather madness, for I am really drunk with intellectual vision whenever I take a pencil or graver into my hand.”  ― William BlakeWilliam Blake

Rimbaud!

“My turn now. The story of one of my insanities.

For a long time I boasted that I was master of all possible landscapes-- and I thought the great figures of modern painting and poetry were laughable.

What I liked were: absurd paintings, pictures over doorways, stage sets, carnival backdrops, billboards, bright-colored prints, old-fashioned literature, church Latin, erotic books full of misspellings, the kind of novels our grandmothers read, fairy tales, little children's books, old operas, silly old songs, the naive rhythms of country rimes.

I dreamed of Crusades, voyages of discovery that nobody had heard of, republics without histories, religious wars stamped out, revolutions in morals, movements of races and continents; I used to believe in every kind of magic.

I invented colors for the vowels! A black, E white, I red, O blue, U green. I made rules for the form and movement of every consonant, and I boasted of inventing, with rhythms from within me, a kind of poetry that all the senses, sooner or later, would recognize. And I alone would be its translator.

I began it as an investigation. I turned silences and nights into words. What was unutterable, I wrote down. I made the whirling world stand still.”  ― Arthur Rimbaud

Sebut Saja Jumat Kelabu.

Kemarin tepatnya, tanggal 28. Alhasil, auuch! Tanganku luka teriris baju. Well, oke saya pikir biasalah, anak mandiri memang gini suka lecek-lecek anggota tubuhnya karena kerasnya kehidupan. Hehe.

(Called me miss drama queen)

So, kelar nyuci dan berberes barang-barang  packing-an, ol lagi lah saya. Tarik nafas dulu ah! Kilahku menunda-nunda keberangkatan.

Siip, ready to go! Akk, bodo’ ah! Bye bye Popular!

Saya akhirnya melenggang kesal meninggalkan kosan pukul 4.30.

Lah, kok punyaku mahal kaliii.

Saya tanya deh sama petugas keretanya. Menurutnya harganya memang segitu kalo mau ke Tebet. Soalnya kartu yang saya beli namanya kartu single trip. Kartu saya warnanya biru.

Ehmm.. cari Tante Ninong, Puang Iwan, Andien, Iki, Fauzan.. (masih kurang?) saya ponakannya Puang Iwan kataku (sedikit congkak mungkin. Maaf aja yah saya capek soalnya, dan tega-teganya saya ditanya cari siapa? Oh eeM Gii). Eh, btw Andin mana? Si mba’ menjawab. Loh, Andin kan ke Aceh sekeluarga, baru kemarin sore berangkat..

GOTCHA!

Mba’ serius mba’.. kataku memelas. “Iya, non… serius hehehehehehehe” (hehehe? Krik krik krik)

Selesai telfonan saya jadi haus. Rasanya hari ini terlalu banyak masalah dan saya jadi sering dehidrasi karenanya (nat, nat, kok lebay sekali nat..). Begitu knop pintu saya coba buka, ternyata kuncinya macet saudara-saudara!

That’s a big no to stay up late and seeing mine suffers!

Alhamdulilah Tuhan mendengarkan doaku, betapa bahagianya saya bangun disambut sinar pagi hari. Horeeee pagi!!! Well, malamnya KAMIPUN BERKELILING JAKARTA J

Ayooooooo kita gempur Jakarta, Bebi!

I found Danny Boyle as one of my favorite Directors.

I would say one word to describe his collective films – although only five films i had watched :’) – that is “speed”. Slumdog Millionaire, 28 days later, 127 hours, The Beach, and the most recently I've watched was Trainspotting. Every time watching his new film, I feel like the same tension came through me. All the hanky-panky scenes and a seemingly similar moving camera from his mostly films that build the same tension that I'd recognized was a Boyle’s way of directing.

Besides that Boyle also have a great taste of music. There always be a favorites play list song that I can added from his soundtrack movies. Except “28 Days Later”. For this film I have vague memory. I don’t quite remember about the story, but I knew I had done watching it because I see the trailer and I recognize some of the pictures. Although little bit disappointed but I’m pretty sure that it wasn't because the story is bad. I assumed because the CD was not good enough. You know piracy things. Don’t expected too much.

All right we go too far. Let’s go back to the soundtracks. First is The Beach Soundtrack; Pure Shores-All Saints (A very important song to me), Redemption-Bob Marley, Brutal-New Order, and Porcelain-Moby. Second is Slumdog Millionaire; Jai Ho-Pussycat Dolls feat A.R Rahman, Paper Planes-A.R Rahman (although merely listen to 2 out of 15 songs, but I am sure A.R Rahman-as the dominant composer from this soundtrack album been working a very good scored songs. (As he always did).

Third is 127 Hours; Never Hear Surf Music Again-Free Blood (my transcendental music), Lovely Day-Bill Withers, If I Rise-A.R Rahman ft Dido, Festival-Sigur Ros and If You Love Me (Really Love Me)-Esther Phillips. And for the last is Trainspotting; Sing-Blur, Nightclubbing-Iggy Pop, Temptation-New Order,  Last for Life-Iggy Pop ft David Bowie, Deep Blue Day-Brian Eno and Mile End-Pulp.

Within the two essential components; Speed and Songs, I can briefly recognize his films without first knowing who the director is. You can clearly feel his nuance through those components. Something that I waited the most during watching his film is the hanky-panky. There are seemingly a common nuance from 127 Hours, Slumdog Millionaires, The Beach,  28 Days Days Later, and Trainspotting that can’t be separated from Boyle’s way of directing. Each of those films had a same camera moves when the tension came up. And right on that circumstance Boyle strike down our emotion by mixing it up with his good taste of music.

Well,  I got to say that I can’t wait to see his other works. To experiencing the other tension and added it as my own experiences. To hear his other music choices and posses it as mine favorites. Because i knew even I don't watching it yet that his next creation would be also represented my whole passion about this world.

Finally, as my morning tea company I'd like to play some of my favorites. I wish we were enjoy it..

“Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television. Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, electrical tin openers, choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on the couch watching spirit-crushing game shows… stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away, pissing your last in a miserable home… nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish brats that you’ve spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose your life. But why would I want to do a thing like that? I choose not to choose a life. I choose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reason when you’ve got heroin? “ – Mark Renton ( an handsome scumbag)

Too bad we were born in the man’s world!

Gara-gara liat status Nuge, saya jadi pengen nulis gini. I miss her anyway :')

Belum lagi bicara tentang hubungan.

Sedikit terhardik saya hanya tinggal mengangguk-angguk.

Menggerutu. Masih salah juga?

"Bonnie and Clyde", people!

Teaser Trailer!

I have to say that this movie was one of the tragic love story movies I've ever seen in my life. “They’re young, they’re in love, and they kill people” this what its poster described itself, which can clearly depicted the collective story situation. Unlike Romeo and Juliet, Bonnie and Clyde was a couple that smitten to the robbery. Love first struck on them during the first robbery and gradually flourished through all the violent things they had done together.

But you don’t have to worry about losing your appetite after watching it. Obviously this movie was way too far from all the 21’st century crime movies. There are so many fights, sex and a harsh blood you can found in these recently crime movies. And Bonnie and Clyde actually was regarded as the first major Hollywood Movie that interjected many sex and violent into the scenes. Besides that, Bonnie and Clyde also wrapped with a good sense of humors so you won’t vomit during watching this movie. I bet ya.

Bonnie and Clyde was based on the true event about Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow who lives in Texas. According through the movie story, they are first meet in the outside of Bonnie’s house when Clyde was caught by Bonnie trying to steal her mother’s car. Despite getting angry because of Clyde attempted to steal her mother’s car, Bonnie briefly attracted to Clyde’s charm and try to flirting on him. But Clyde wasn't a lover man like the way he always called himself. Although little bit disappointed by Clyde refuses on her, Bonnie insist to follow Clyde and wishing one day he will accepted her as his lover.

Bonnie become his loyal partner during the burglary. They are robbing in supermarkets and banks. One day after robbing the bank, they are stop by at the gas station and meet C.W. Moss. They asked Moss if he dare to join them robbing the banks. Moss then agrees to join the gang. No longer after Moss joined in, the gang meets Clyde’s brother, Buck and his wife Blanche. All of them agrees become an officially a robbery gang since that day. While on the same time the intimacy between Bonnie and Clyde was increased.

They were totally in a love drunk. Until there come the misfortune. One day after shopping at the supermarket, Bonnie and Clyde ride over to Moss’s home. They have no idea right on that day everybody was arranged for their assault. Apparently wasn't only the policeman who hunted down on them, but Moss’s father also engaged on the raid plan. He made the agreement about the raid in one condition that Moss will not hunt down.

So the plan was goes smoothly. On their way back home, Bonnie and Clyde saw Moss’s father stuck on the road with his broke machine car. Bonnie briefly went down from the car and accosted him. And dramatically a shooting barrage come strike on Bonnie and Clyde body makes them dead right away. Last minutes before the first shot hitting them, they are glancing like a wave goodbye to each other. That was a truly bittersweet emotion came through them before finally facing the death. And was a hurt sad love story that the audience – particularly me- had to face as the ended of the story.

These what I called the bittersweet glanced before facing the death!
